Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. This is the information that identifies you on the platform.

Payment information. Payments are processed for us by Stripe, a licensed payment processor. ExamPaths never sees or stores your full card number. We keep a record of which plan you purchased and your payment status so we can give you access to the right features.

Usage data. As you study, we record information such as which courses you open, your study progress, quiz and practice exam results, flashcards you have marked as known, notes you save, and your conversations with the AI tutor. This data is tied to your account and is what powers features like progress tracking, mastery scores, and personalized recommendations.

Device and cookie data. Like most websites, we use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. When you first visit, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies, and you can change that choice in your browser at any time.

Messages you send us. If you use the in-app "Report a problem" feature or contact us about your account, we keep a record of that communication so we can help you.

We use the information above to operate the service you signed up for. Specifically, we use it to:

create and secure your account; process payments and manage your plan; show your own study progress, quiz history, and notes back to you; personalize the AI tutor's answers and your study recommendations; send service-related emails such as study reminders and account notices; and improve our study content and fix problems reported by users.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. Your data is shared only with the service providers ExamPaths needs in order to operate — primarily Stripe for payment processing and our hosting provider — and only as needed to run the service. We do not use your AI tutor conversations or study data for advertising, and we do not share it with marketers or data brokers.

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active, so your progress and notes are there when you return. If you want your data deleted, you can request it at any time: go to Settings and use the "Report a problem" feature (or reply to any email we have sent you about your account) and ask us to delete your account data. We will confirm the deletion and remove your personal information from our systems within 30 days. A small amount of billing history may be retained where we are required to keep it by law.

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls that keep each user's study data visible only to that user. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we work to protect your data against unauthorized access.

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app. If you keep using ExamPaths after a change, you are agreeing to the updated policy.
